P3 2019, the 27th Annual CCPPP National Conference on Public-Private Partnerships

Target Audience: Professionals from the Canadian and international public and private sectors interested in delivering complex infrastructure projects using the P3 model. This includes experts in design, construction, finance, operations, maintenance, and advisory services.

The Annual National Conference of the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) is recognized as one of the premier events on P3s in the world, bringing together 1,200 senior public and private sector participants. Trade Commissioners from Global Affairs Canada, as well as representatives from Export Development Canada (EDC) and the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), will be available during the conference to discuss P3 opportunities in promising markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, China, Ethiopia and South-East Asia. Trade Commissioners will be accompanied by foreign business delegations, and business-to-business meetings will be organized to offer participants an opportunity to meet directly with key decision makers and contracting authorities from these markets.

Keynote speakers at the CCPPP Annual Conference are at the forefront of thought leadership. Leonard Brody, Chairman, Creative Labs, detailed what the rapid pace of global change, innovation and technology disruption means for infrastructure. François-Philippe Champagne, Canada’s Minister of Infrastructure, highlighted the role that P3s can play in delivering public transit and other key infrastructure projects.

Ricardo Rosselló, Governor of Puerto Rico, discussed how his government is working closely with the private sector to renew the economy and quickly rebuild after Hurricane Maria. Joseph Mancinelli, International Vice-President and Central and Eastern Canada Regional Manager, LiUNA, the Labourers’ International Union of North America, discussed why he spearheaded the labour union’s almost $8-billion pension fund to make significant investments in P3 infrastructure projects across the country.

Pierre Lavallée, President and CEO, Canada Infrastructure Bank, outlined the Bank’s plans strategies to enable innovative investments in transformational infrastructure projects.

The sessions are always interactive discussions, targeting everything from the prospects of the pipeline to the reality of risks. It is advanced content intended to help delegates think ‘big and beyond’ about the challenges and opportunities facing the P3 industry.
